About Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs)
As a registered dental assistant, you will make a difference in peoples' lives. By offering comfort and thorough clinical care, you can help patients overcome their fears and achieve optimum dental health. Knowing that you had a hand in a smile makeover that gave a patient a new image and increased confidence will deliver satisfaction and pride in a job well done – in a life forever transformed.
In Arkansas, dental assistants must be registered to polish teeth, take X-rays, and administer nitrous oxide. You can earn an RDA certification from the state of Arkansas through your studies at Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy. A shortage of RDAs means that competent, well-trained candidates can find immediate work in the rewarding dental field.
